In 2017 during our Humanities class, we had a Documercial project and my idea, realised through our group, was to ask architects around the city of Baguio, based on experience what word for them represents architecture and to ask local non-practioners what their idea of an architect is.
I had the privilege to expound our 2-3 minute documercial with permission and endorsement from my instructor 😊. In the same way that our Batch 1 interviewees and participants were asked, I had the participants choose one from six cards written on each the following questions requiring one word answers:
What is an architect's best advertisement?
Describe/define architecture.
Describe you as an architect. What is your word?
Draw one entity that represents architecture.
What is your fear in the architecture profession?
What do you love about architecture?
Though I walked the streets from the city center to Navy Base Road and commuted to as far as Magsaysay Avenue to find more architects who were willing participants, sadly I could not find the time to put together my recordings in a quality up to par as I have not the skill and tools then to make up for my limited resources.
With AI, I now have been able to come up with a storyboard of what the extended version could have been instead:
Sadly, you would never know what they said. Hopefully someday, if I still I have my records, I can put them together to the best quality I can present them. I hope you like the concept and the intention behind!
